Vero named Insurer of the Year at 2009 General Insurance Awards

Members of The Insurance Broker Association of New Zealand (IBANZ) have voted to name Vero as the 2009 Insurer of the Year.

This award is based on Vero's clear position as leader in the 6 categories surveyed of reputation, service, product, business support, consistency and overall value. This is the fifth time that New Zealand brokers have bestowed this honourable award on Vero (previously awarded in 2002, 2003, 2004 & 2006).

"I am extremely proud of all Vero people who have created excellence from the ‘inside out’ through their contribution to our performance. Without your passion and relentless drive to achieve our vision of becoming a World Class provider of general insurance, this award would not have been ours." said Roger Bell, Chief Executive Vero New Zealand, of receiving the award.

The Vero sponsored Broker of the Year was John Blackmore of CFS Risk Services, Wellington. The judges' comments centred on John’s strong customer focus and ability to build and maintain underwriter and client relationships. John won a trip to any South Pacific destination beginning with V along with airfares and spending money, courtesy of Vero.
